Working Artists Studio, Ballydehob. Winter 24
Undertaking this residency encouraged me to experiment in new media as I prepared to make new work. Pòl & Marie are an incredible support and having a studio space outside of my own studio brought a new perspective.
Alongside the residency I had a mentor session with artist Catherine Weld in her studio, which was brilliant! Working in a responsive and spontaneous way is challenging for me as I love planning & structure but it has been so beneficial as I test new ways of working. It ultimately leads to unique moments of discovery that bring new growth I am looking for.
