Two strands of my arts practice met this week when I had the opportunity to invite some of our Creative Carers @artsforhealthwestcork into my artist residency studio @uillinnwestcorkarts for a workshop. It was exciting to be able to share the background of what I’ve been making & some of the techniques I’ve used and then explore figurative art with the group themselves.

I count it a privilege to have the opportunity to work with family carers, the laughter and conversations had while making together are a joy ❤️ We have just completed a series of workshops held in @skibbereencfrc & are looking forward to meeting and developing work together again in the new year.

*Creative Carers is a community based strand of the Arts for Health Partnership Programme in West Cork. The programme creates opportunities to engage with the arts for and with family carers.

‘This is for You’ is a limited edition book I

‘This is for You’ is a limited edition book I am proud to have made during 2024. Having followed the work which Dublin Art Book Fair share, I am now delighted to be one of the artists and publishers participating Dublin Art Book Fair 2025!

The artist book titles on display at this year’s Dublin Art Book Fair showcase an abundance of creative practices including drawing, mixed-media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, sound, and writing. In addition, there is over 40 independent publishers, Irish and international publishing on art, design, visual culture, and more. Alongside the artists and publishers, a curated section of books selected by DABF Guest Curator Dr. Selina Guinness and her invited readers explores Guinness’ theme:
Flock.

DABF runs 4-14 December, all books are for sale-you are welcome to come and browse. If you have the opportunity to be in Dublin in the next few weeks it’d be worth a visit ❤️

‘Quietly Magnificent’

Celebrating women of different styles, different languages and different beliefs. Growing up in Tyrone I now have a special interest in addressing division and inequality, influenced by growing up during the ‘Troubles’ in Northern Ireland. I belief that difference should be celebrated and not a cause for division. ‘People & Place’ are the focus of my work and I hope by concentrating on capturing moments of humanity, emotion and courage it can bring joy to those who get to see it.

Thanks to the selection panel for choosing my work to be included in Royal Ulster Academy of Arts 144th Annual Exhibition @ruabelfast It was such a joy to spend the weekend at home and take time to explore the show in the beautiful @ulstermuseum This is a breath-taking exhibition!

If you get the opportunity to visit Belfast in the next few months, this is an exhibition to make time for. Show runs Sunday 19th October – Sunday 4th January. Open 10 am -5 pm. (Closed Monday).
